What should I wear to my private lesson?

For any ballet technique classes, please wear a leotard and tights (convertible preferred) with ballet shoes. Feel free to wear any color of leo! 

For an assessment, we recommend wearing tight-fitting workout clothes, such as a sports bra, form-fitting yoga shorts or pants, and socks (no ballet shoes needed just yet). This will ensure that your coach has the best view possible of your body and movement during the assessment.

How should I do my hair?

Please come with your hair done up in an acceptable ballet style (eg: bun, French roll, etc.). 

We kindly ask that there be no loose hair! Everything should be tied back, neat, and tidy.

What program will be used to conduct the virtual lessons?

We will be using the Zoom platform to conduct all of the virtual lessons. However, if you would prefer to use a different video conferencing program, please contact us in advance so we can work something out.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please note that all of our private lessons and private lesson packages are divided into two components: (1) the initial assessment, and (2) the remainder of your private lesson(s). See below for specific cancellation details regarding both components:

Initial Assessment Cancellation
You may cancel your initial assessment up to 24 hours before the start date/time and request to receive a full refund. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the initial assessment date/time will not receive a refund, and will
 instead receive a credit to reschedule at a later date. Credit must be used within 90 days.

Remaining Private Lesson(s) Cancellation
You may cancel any remaining private lesson(s) up to 24 hours before the start date/time, but please note that by doing so you will not receive a refund. Instead, you will receive a credit to reschedule at a later date. Credit must be used within 90 days.

Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the private lesson date/time will not receive a refund, and will incur a cancellation fee of $45.00 (CAD).

Can I reschedule a lesson?

You may reschedule any lesson or assessment up to 24 hours before it begins without incurring any fees. Should you reschedule a lesson or assessment within 24 hours of it’s start date/time, a penalty fee of $45.00 (CAD) will be charged. Please read our Refund & Cancellation Policy for more details.

Are all of your lessons virtual?

Yes! However, if you happen to be in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, feel free to contact Shannon to set up an in-person private lesson.

Where can I view, change, or cancel an upcoming lesson?

Please refer to your Booking Confirmation email if you need to make a change to your lesson.

What happens if I miss one of my lessons?

In the event that a student does not show up for their scheduled lesson – be it an assessment or any remaining private lessons – then an automatic no-show fee of $45.00 CAD will be charged to the payment method on file. This is non-negotiable. Once this fee is paid, then instructions will be emailed on how to reschedule the missed lesson.

What happens after I book my private lesson?

You will receive a confirmation email confirming the date and time of your upcoming lesson. 

If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam or junk folder. If there is still nothing, please contact us immediately.

What happens at the time of my class?

You will be sent an email approximately 24 hours before the start date/time of your lesson that contains your Zoom meeting link, which you will use to access your virtual “classroom”.  Please click on this link 5 – 10 minutes before the official start time of your class. 

I booked a 1 hour private, but my class is listed as being only 30 minutes long. Did something go wrong?

First of all, don’t panic – this is normal! Since all of our private lessons and private lesson packages include an initial 30 minute assessment, this is what will be booked first. Any remaining private lessons a part of your purchase will be booked after your assessment. Once you complete your assessment, a booking calendar will be emailed to you, and this will allow you to pick convenient dates and times for all your remaining lessons.

To help illustrate, here’s an example scenario: Suppose “Odette” purchased a Posture Analysis coaching package. This packages includes one 30 minute assessment, and two 60 minute postural rehabilitation classes. Odette will first book a date and time for her 30 minute assessment. Once she has completed her assessment, she will receive an email containing a booking calendar, where she can now book times for her remaining two classes.

What currency are your prices listed in?

All of our prices (unless otherwise stated) are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Your purchase will automatically convert to your preferred currency at checkout.

What payment methods do you accept?
